History
Francis Lewis Lodge No.273 came into existence on August 14, 1986 when Metropolitan - Whitestone Lodge No. 273 and Bayside Lodge No. 999 merged into Francis Lewis Lodge #273. There were 386 Master Masons in Francis Lewis Lodge at the time of the merger.
The first Master of Francis Lewis was Worshipful Gino Mignano. The other officers were: Bro. Morris Vainder – Senior Warden, Brother Alfred Ubertini – Junior Warden, W\Mike Marva – Secretary, W\Ludwig Ernst – Secretary, W\Robert Mold – Treasurer, W\Robert E. Lange – Treasurer, Brother Robert Goldfarb – Senior Deacon, Brother Jay Fassler – Junior Deacon, Brother Ludwig Hartman – Senior Master of Ceremony, Brother Charles Raffa – Junior Master of Ceremony, Brother John Wolchok, DSA – Steward, Brother John Amey – Steward, W\Kenneth Wagner – Marshal, W\Henry Renner – Marshal, W\Fred Laing – Tiler and W\Arthur Z. Schoedel – Organist.
The Trustees were: Brother Arthur Demerest, DSA, R\W\Norman Eaton, W\George Docke, W\Richard Kottwitz, R\W\George Schmidt and W\Kenneth Wiedemann.
The Lodge met at the Bayside Masonic Temple on Bell Boulevard and 35th Avenue on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month with the exception of July and August. The very first meeting of Francis Lewis Lodge No 273 took place on September 9, 1986. During the first year of Francis Lewis the Lodge raised 11 Master Masons.
The predecessors of Francis Lewis Lodge were:
Metropolitan Lodge No. 273 was constituted December 9, 1852 (Metropolitan Lodge was formed out of Atwood Lodge No. 208, later known as Cyrus Lodge No. 208 which was constituted on January 30, 1854).
Whitestone Lodge No. 973 merged into Metropolitan Whitestone Lodge No. 273 which was constituted on May 4, 1971.
Bayside Lodge No. 999 was constituted on December 27, 1921.

Francis Lewis Lodge meets on the First and Third Wednesday of the month (except July and August) at 7:30pm.
