Welcome to the Queens Masonic District, which operates under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of the State of New York. We have 7 Lodges within our District: Advance Service Mizpah, Anchor-Astoria, Cornucopia, Francis Lewis, Harmony, Springfield Gardens and Tadmor.
The Queens District was officially formed in May 2000 at the Grand Lodge of New York’s Annual Communication. It is a consolidation of the First Queens and Second Queens Districts. Our District has produced 4 Grand Masters: M\W\Charles W. Froessel, M\W\William Knapp, M\W\Ernest Leonardi and M\W\Stewart C. McCloud.
Our District participates in many Masonic endeavors, Including:
Queen United Educational Seminar Today (QUEST) which began in 1981, is the longest continuous running educational seminar in the Grand Lodge of New York.
The R\W\John C. Ross School of Instruction, started in 1926, which is held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month (except July & August) and helps teach our Ritual to our Brothers.
The Queens Masonic Association, which contributes to Fellowship in our District and distributes donations to various Organizations.
The Masonic Safety ID Program, originally started in 1992 as the Child ID Program, can be used to help parents find missing children.
The R\W\Herman Weiss Award, which began in 1989 is given to a worthy Mason for his hard work, is also a Charitable Fundraiser for District Projects as well as the Masonic Brotherhood Fund and Camp Turk.
The Queens Masonic Association Testimonial and M\W\Stewart McCloud Grant Award given to a High School Senior of a Queens Mason to help with their college tuition.
